The
festival will celebrate folklore in Ghana.This event would be organized
each year with other “FOLK TALE PERSONALITIES” IN MIND.identifying
all the diverse folktales through poetry recitals, songs, drama
and dance.
Activities will be concentrated at the Theme Park . A suitable date
will be chosen in consultation with the National Commission on Culture.
If possible, this will be celebrated this year as part of any existing
traditional occasion like Panafest or Emancipation Day with emphasis
on the following:

A link with the existing traditional storytelling villages to
strengthen
them.
- Ananse’s
Family i.e Okonor Yaa, Ntikuma, Tikenenkenen, Afrudohwedohwe and
Nankonhwea.
- Animation
of popular slogans / existing sayings (proverbs)
- Writing
competitions (junior / secondary school categories)
- Composition
of Ananse ‘song’
- Ananse
Fest ( Kwaku Ananse Day)
- The
climax of the festival will be a night of storytelling, cartoon
films,songs, drama and dance.
