PROJECT

Who is Kwaku Ananse is a project aimed at bringing ANANSE back to life and into our lives as a nation. The project intends to PERSONIFY Ghana’s Famous folk hero ANANSE, remove him from the realm of childhood imagination or mere spider, as his name connotes.
He will be portrayed as his very self. He will take center stage like his contemporaries like SNOOPY, MICKY MOUSE, TOM & JERRY, ASTERIX, SKIPPY, etc. in our countries.

We all know how these characters have become popular worldwide through their exposure in stories and cartoons. In other words, the project is aimed at immortalizing and updating our own KWAKU ANANSE.

ANANSE IN PAN AFRICANISM
For those who hold Africa as a homeland and a tourist destination, Kwaku Ananse would be a character they would forever cherish. Panafest could be a brilliant platform to further expose ANANSE to Ghana, the Diaspora and the world at large.

VISITORS TO GHANA
Visitors to Ghana would also be introduced to Ananse. We could vividly portray to them Ananse’s deeds through narratives enacted by expert story tellers.
This will aim at drawing on the intellectual capabilities of Ghanaians who in their related professions would portray Ananse in story telling or visual presentation. Access to information on Ananse will be displayed at a special Ananse Theme Park to be created (Phase Three),Hotel Balconies,Airport
Foyers,Restaurants, Theatres,Conference Halls.
Tour Operators would be encouraged to include information on Kwaku Ananse in their packages.

PERSONALITY
Ananse in all of the great stories that have been told around him and his family, has displayed to a superlative degree the characteristics of ... WISDOM, BRAVERY, SHREWDNESS, MISCHIEF, TRICKERY, GREED, FOOLHARDINESS, etc.
